Charlotte Hodges, MD, FASMBS

Dr. Charlotte Hodges is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. She is an Advanced Laparoscopic General and Bariatric Surgeon who has practiced in DFW since 2011. She has performed over 3000 general and bariatric procedures. Dr. Hodges received her medical degree from Texas A&M University Health Science Center and completed her general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center. She is a member of the Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Society and Society of Baylor Surgeons.

Collins Hodges, PSYD

Dr. Hodges attended Southern Methodist University on a full academic scholarship. He earned both a master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology. While at SMU, Dr. Hodges distinguished himself as a research scholar and contributed to a number of articles and national presentations on the subject of cognitive vulnerability to depression. Dr. Hodges later joined the teaching staff at Baylor College of Medicine to explore the neuropsychiatric correlates of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Dr. Hodges and his research team were nationally recognized for their scientific contributions to the field of pediatric neuroscience.

Stephen Keller, RNFA

Stephen Keller has been registered nurse for over 20+ years and has been working in the field of bariatrics for over 15 years. He is a Registered Nurse / First Assist and first worked with Dr. Hodges while she was a resident at Baylor University Medical Center. After her residency, they continued to work together in a private surgical practice. In 2016, Stephen joined Dr. Hodges in her own private clinic.

Stephen is an invaluable member of Dr. Hodges’ team. Not only does he assist on every case but he see patients in her clinic as well. He likes to joke with patients and always introduces himself as “Fabio”! Dr. Hodges doesn’t know what she would do without him.

Laura

Laura brings to New You Bariatrics an extensive leadership background in Healthcare. With over 25-years in the industry, Laura’s passion for patient satisfaction has led her to be involved in multiple performance improvement efforts on a hospital-level, during her tenure.

Laura has also been involved in many non-profit charity groups, including: Cancer Care Services of Tarrant County, the American Heart Association and dozens of various internal and external community events. Not only does Laura bring passion and drive to New You, she is also a patient of the practice, taking her journey alongside their patients!

A native from New York, Laura loves living in Texas and spending time with her husband and kids and cheering on Texas Tech! Go Red Raiders!

 

Bariatric Support Group

Dr. Hodges highly recommends patients attend monthly support group meetings. The meetings are led by Dr. Collins Hodges, both a licensed clinical psychologist and someone who has had bariatric surgery himself. The support groups are offered on the first Monday of every month from 6:30pm – 7:15pm CST via an online GoToMeeting. The meetings are open to the public, and there is no charge to attend.
